Parents,
Can you believe it is already time to prepare for the upcoming school year?  I have great expectations for our class this year and I am preparing with excitement!
I want to extend an invitation to you all to come and spend time in the class whenever you would like. If you have a project idea that would go well with the curriculum or something special for show and tell or art class please let me know. I would love to have the families come and participate in or lead us in special activities.
I have provided a list of supplies and reminders that will help you prepare for the new school year.
  • Make sure all uniforms (including shoes and p.e. clothing) meet school requirements
  • “Snack time” is separate from lunch.  We recommend you send a healthy snack and drink.  Sugary items and soda will cause children to “crash” later in the day. If your child has any food allergies please let me know so I will be aware of it.
  • All lunches that require heating must be sent in a dish and have flatware needed.  Please send items prepared, cut-up/peeled, or simple for students to open and handle.  All of these details make a big difference for the teachers.
  • Water bottles are allowed in the classroom.  This keeps students hydrated, alert and healthy throughout the year.  I will try to send them home every Friday to be washed or replaced for Mondays.
  • Label ALL of your child’s items with a permanent marker easy for them to identify. Include uniforms, belts, supplies etc.  You would be surprised at how easy it is for them to lose track of their things!

I humbly embrace the opportunity to be a “partner in parenting” with you this year.  If you have any questions call me at 931-589-3710.

In Christ’s Service,
