We want YOU to be involved in your child's education! Questions such as "what is my child learning at school?" and "is my child on a course to attend college?" are normal. At G.A.A., we welcome questions from parents. Our doors are always open for conversations about curriculum, suggested courses, or anything else you wish to discuss. We are happy to have parents volunteer to teach a course on something they are passionate about. Our school allows you to walk with your child through every step of their education.

Character Training
Our discipline system is not based on punishment, but on character training. Students are reminded of the importance of good character traits in their interactions with other students and with their teachers. Notes will be sent home to alert parents of negative character traits, allowing the parents to promote the principles of good character being focused on at school. Parents can also point out things they are dealing with at home, so that teachers can reinforce the lessons the child is receiving at home.

Our curriculum is written by Christians and promotes Biblical thinking, rather than a secular, morally void perspective. We have regularly scheduled Bible classes, with different focuses every year. We also take time out occasionally for chapel, allowing the students to worship the Creator. In addition, we promote the concept that each person is here for a purpose, because God doesn't make mistakes!
Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."

Flexible Teaching Styles
As a Category IV School, we can think outside the box on field trips, learning tools, and types of curriculum. We can be instant in season and out, using current affairs and community events as learning experiences. Our curriculum is not mandated by the state, but it meets the minimum standards promulgated by the State of Tennessee. We can also focus on each student's particular learning style and allow them to absorb information in the way they best process (tactile/kinesthetic, auditory, sight) while encouraging them to strengthen the other areas, so that they can function well as they go out into the world.
